Being in Victoria, there are only a few places we can go to find great pieces of furniture.  If you are like many of us who need to see and feel things for yourself, ordering furniture online all the time for everything can be a challenge.

One thing that we love about Gabriel Ross Inc., is that they are a professionally run store that carries amazing international products but has that local-and-small-great-service-kinda-feel to it.  We are always immediately greeted upon arrival by whomever is on the floor, and with an array of attractive pieces of furniture laid out on display, you can't help but to try each piece out.

Currently, the store is preparing itself for a transition into a new location (across the street).  Occupying a warehouse means a larger space to work with, and this only means more furniture for us to feel and enjoy!  Another realm to Gabriel Ross Inc. is their own product line.  And one wouldn't know this, but behind those closed doors, there are some amazing furniture makers who dedicate quality skills and time into making genuinely good furniture.  I know from personal experience of touring their workshop and being amazed at the details that go into making their pieces.

From this quality craftmanship in furniture building stems their desire to be even better.  Gabriel Ross Inc. is now introducing a new Eco line that is sure to attract many local buyers who are conscious of the environments and overall well-being.  Far too many manufacturers these days use toxic and harmful materials that are petroleum based or may contain fire retardants and formaldehyde.

The Eco line at Gabriel Ross Inc. is...

1. Framed with a North American based company who us environmentally friendly harvested Columbia Purebond brand plywood.  This is a non-off gassing product that has no added UF (Urea Formaldehyde).
2. The seat and back cushions as well as all the areas of the frame are made from and padded with Arpico brand 100% botanical latex rubber. "This product is a Dunlopillo process latex foam. It is naturally Anti-microbial, dust mite resistant, Anti-fungal and fire resistant. Latex is also self ventilating and temperature regulating. It is silent and does not soften with use." -Gabriel Ross Inc.
3. The cushions and frame are wrapped in Enkev brand which is 100% organic wool wrap. "This is a natural, needle punched hypo-allergenic wool. This product gives the seating areas a smooth and consistent feel and further enhances the temperature regulating and moisture wicking properties of the cushions." - Gabriel Ross Inc.  
4. Any laminating (gluing) is done with Simalfa brand waterborne adhesive.  It is recognized as the most safe and benevolent product on the market.
5. The cover is tight and has the look of upholstered furniture, yet is fully removable for cleaning or replacing.
6. This product is 100% biodegradable. 
7. Manufactured here in Victoria.  Therefore, customization in design and materials is an option.
